The Beginning

It started with a garland
and a promise.

From a kitchen table in Bloomingdale

Yadira Auxume strung her first exchange garland for a family wedding — roses and jasmine, threaded by hand until three in the morning. When the couple wept at the sight of it, she understood what she wanted to do with her life: translate feelings into flowers.

What began at a kitchen table is now a full maison florale serving Bloomingdale and greater Chicagoland — weddings, garlands, and bouquets for every occasion worth marking. The rule from that first night still stands: every piece is composed by hand, by one florist, start to finish.

About the maison

Where are you located, and where do you deliver?

We are based in Bloomingdale, Illinois and deliver across the western suburbs and greater Chicagoland — including Schaumburg, Glen Ellyn, Wheaton, Elmhurst, and downtown Chicago for weddings and events.

Do you only do weddings?

Not at all. Weddings and garlands are our signature, but the atelier composes daily for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, Father's Day, sympathy, and everyday gifting. See all of our occasions.

Can I visit the atelier?

Wedding and event consultations are held in person at the atelier by appointment. For everyday bouquets, ordering through our consultation form is the fastest way to reach us.

How far in advance should I order?

Everyday bouquets: 48 hours is ideal. Holidays like Valentine's and Mother's Day: one to two weeks. Weddings and garlands: two to six months. Rushed? Ask anyway — midnight garlands have been done before.

How far ahead should I order?

Where do you deliver?

Bloomingdale and the western suburbs daily; greater Chicagoland including downtown for weddings, events, and larger orders. Pickup at the atelier is always available.

Can I choose the exact flowers?

Yes — tell us your favorites and dislikes in the order form. When a stem isn't at its best that week, we substitute with something equal or better and tell you first.

What if the recipient isn't home?

We coordinate delivery windows in advance, and our drivers call ahead. Flowers are never left in heat or cold — we'd rather redeliver than ruin them.

Do you offer subscriptions?

Yes — weekly, biweekly, or monthly flowers for homes and businesses, with a standing discount. Mention it in the form below.

The Craft

Gathered at dawn

Stems are selected before sunrise from trusted growers — when blooms are coolest and the fragrance still belongs to the night. Nothing is bought pre-bunched; every stem is chosen individually.

Conditioned, not rushed

Each stem is cut underwater, stripped, and rested in cool water for hours before it may be used. Conditioning is invisible in photos and unmistakable in how long your flowers last.

Composed by one florist

One florist composes your piece from first stem to final ribbon. No assembly line — a bouquet holds together like a sentence only when one voice writes it.

Wrapped like a gift

Linen-touch paper, our signature ribbon, and a handwritten card. Garlands rest in tissue-lined boxes, never bags. Presentation is part of the flowers.

Delivered in silence

Chilled vans, careful hands, delivery windows agreed in advance. Our drivers are our own — your flowers are never handed to a courier app.

How long will my bouquet last?

With the four care rituals above, most of our bouquets hold seven to ten days. Structural pieces (like the For Father collection) often last two weeks.

Do you work with allergies?

Yes — tell us in your order. We compose lily-free, pollen-light, and fragrance-free pieces regularly, without losing any of the beauty.

Where do your flowers come from?

A small circle of growers we've worked with for years — local Illinois farms in season, and trusted specialty growers for roses, peonies, jasmine and tuberose the rest of the year.

Can I request a fully custom piece?

Always. Describe the feeling, the person, or even a photograph you love in the form below — custom composition is most of what we do.

An hour with Yadira — your venue, gown, palette, traditions, and budget. Bring photos, fabric swatches, Pinterest boards, anything.

Proposal & palette

Within a week: an itemized proposal with a visual palette. Revise as much as you like — nothing is locked until you are.

The preview

Before the wedding, see your bouquet and a sample centerpiece in person. Adjust anything. This is where nerves turn into excitement.

The day

Garlands strung at dawn. Chilled delivery. Setup complete before your first guest — and we return afterward to strike, so no one's aunt has to carry an arch.

Wedding flowers, answered

How far in advance should we book?

Two to six months for most weddings; nine to twelve for peak dates (May, June, September, October). One garland pair on short notice? Ask — we've done miracles overnight.

Do you require a deposit?

A date-hold deposit of 25% secures your wedding; the balance is due two weeks before. The deposit is applied fully to your final invoice.

Do you deliver and set up at the venue?

Yes — delivery, full setup, and post-event strike are included in every wedding proposal.

Can you work within our traditions?

Gladly. We compose for Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Jewish and fusion ceremonies — exchange garlands, family greeting garlands and ceremony florals — and we research anything we haven't strung before.

What if flowers we want aren't in season?

We'll tell you honestly, then offer the closest stems at their peak — or source out-of-season blooms through specialty growers at quoted cost.

Do you handle other events?

Yes — engagements, showers, galas, corporate events, and quinceañeras. The same enquiry form below works for all of them.

Caring for your bouquet

Recut on arrival. Trim 2 cm off each stem at a 45° angle, ideally under running water, before the vase.
Cool water, clean vase. Change the water every two days — cloudy water is the biggest thief of vase life.
Away from heat and fruit. No direct sun, no radiators, and never beside the fruit bowl (ripening fruit releases ethylene, which ages blooms).
Remove tired stems promptly. One fading flower accelerates the rest; the bouquet re-balances beautifully without it.
Mist garlands, don't soak. Keep exchange garlands boxed and refrigerated until worn; a light mist revives them, water droplets stain petals.
